About us

About Us

evolve was jointly set up by the Health Promotion Board (HPB), an agency of the Ministry of Health, Singapore, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS) and Food Industry Asia (FIA) in 2015.

Built to leverage on public-private partnerships by gathering experts from governments, academia, industry and civil societies, evolve seeks to initiate and sustain a regional, multi-stakeholder dialogue and tackle the rising rates of over- and under-nutrition in the region.

Since it was formed, evolve has shaped its efforts around tackling malnutrition in all its forms – paying specific attention to obesity. Over the years, evolve has progressed from initiating dialogue to enabling action in light of addressing the rising tide of obesity in the region.

Beyond tackling public health challenges, evolve recognises that the ever-changing landscape in health and wellness requires a holistic approach to encourage healthier communities in the region.

our vision

To be the trusted partner for collaborative efforts to drive health and wellness across Asia

our mission

To be the catalyst that enables transformational change and drives regional multi-stakeholder efforts for a healthy Asia

our strategy

global issues,
local solutions

Beyond addressing public health challenges, evolve seeks to explore a wider array of activities, dialogues and partnerships to co-create and pilot holistic approaches than can deliver meaningful behaviour change, empowering healthy communities across Asia.

Using a three-pronged approach, we bring together key stakeholders from across sectors with a common vision to improve nutrition. Supported by sound science, evolve and its partners look into the design, feasibility and impact of implementing initiatives prior to piloting, evaluating and scaling them to enable a wider outreach.

initiating collective dialogues and commitments

evolve is committed to aligning stakeholders across Asia around a shared vision of driving health and wellness through our annual roundtable dialogues and country-level meetings. Through annual roundtables and continuous country-level dialogues that take place across the region, we are committed to aligning our efforts and co-creating scalable, localised solutions through continuous stakeholder engagement.
